 BIOGRAPHY: Born march 1976 Romsey Hampshire England. Country music has always been a big influence in my life. I grew up listening to my dads collection which included Marty Robbins,Boxcar Willie,Tammy Wynette,Bobby Bare and many others. My own favourites include Waylon Jennings,Willie Nelson,Dale Watson,Dwight Yoakam,Alan Jackson,Kris kristofferson,Randy Travis,Toby Keith,Moe Bandy and many more... Songs by all of these artists and more can be heard at the shows i do.

I started performing country music at the start of 2007 after having taken a break from performing for more than 5 years. I had previously been in a couple of rock bands in my early 20s but it wasn't my style and i got a bit dissillusioned with it all and so took a break. During all this time i was listening to country music and compiling quite a collection of cds. This inspired me to pick up the note pad and pen again and start to write some songs. I put a few on hotdisc which managed to get airplay in about 10 different countries including Britain,France,Australia,Sweden,Belgium,Italy,Ireland,Germany and America. A couple of the songs got to #6 on the British hotdisc chart,and a #30 and #27 on the international chart. Not bad for a first attempt. I am currently working on a new self penned cd. Gigs continue to pick up pace and i continue to meet so many helpfull people. I wish i did this years ago!

 

 LIVESHOWS: I am a solo singer singing to backing tracks,although i would love to eventually work with a band if there are any musicians reading this. Shows usually consist of three sets of around 45 minutes depending on booking requirements. I am sure anyone booking me would find my fees competitive. I try to include a good mix of tempo's and old and new songs,and pick out some songs people maybe don't hear so often mixed in with classics. i also usually add a couple of original songs through the evening as well. There is a demo available at the top of this page. Thankyou for visiting,hopefully i will see you somewhere soon,Barny.
