June has been a very enjoyable month. Bar X festival in Surrey was once again great fun, always a good laugh in amongst a friendly crowd. My spot in the afternoon proved too hot for most people (including myself at times) in the marquee, but plenty of people said they were listening from the shade of their awning, which was where we spent a large part of our afternoons, i'm not one for toasting myself.
Last weeks gigs at Norfolk and Wiltshire were really good. The club in Norfolk was a great example of how listeners and dancers can get along fine. It was one of those evenings where the atmosphere allowed me to relax right from the start and i could play that type of venue quite happily every day of the week. Pewsey in Wiltshire is another great atmosphere in amongst people who are quite familiar now having done several for them, i really do appreciate the continued support.

It's been a good couple of months with some very enjoyable journeys and shows. Trips to both North and South Wales were both good fun and friendly audiences, as were the shows in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, it seems a very friendly corner of the country. If 2010 continues in the same way it will be remembered as a happy year. Thankyou to everyone who comes along to the shows, i wouldn't be getting to do this without you. I have just come back from 3 shows in Lincolnshire/Oxfordshire and Cheltenham,3 very enjoyable shows, i could do with a few more weekends like that one :)

Spring feels like it's knocking on the door now, which i guess it should be.. We are being treated to some lovely sunny weather, and all it needs is a bit of a warmer breeze eh? The caravan has had its first outing of the year at the Jagers festival Cotswolds. Was great to have the chance to sing there, thanks to all those who bought discs, and to all those who came up to me in the evening and said they had already played and enjoyed them, always nice to hear.
Another nice gig at Cavern Cheltenham last night, was nice to get one last opportunity to play there again before they close at the end of the month,thanks again to all who bought discs. Its a shame to see another old music pub closing down, can't help but wonder what people will be doing for entertainment in another 20 years time, i guess everyone will be playing on their bloomin Wii ! ...maybe i'm just starting to get old..haha (34 soon, flys when your havin fun)..
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the festivals and clubs again this summer, i am so lucky to be getting the chance to do this, i wouldnt swap it for anything :)

PLEASE NOTE: CROSS COUNTRY magazine have me down in their gig list as playing Dons Social club in Peterborough on the 27th of this month. It's meant to be another chap just named Barnaby and isn't me. I am booked there on the 23rd of October.

Well another year is upon us,and i should imagine after all the snow most people are looking forward to the summer now,or at least the spring! All being well it's looking like it's clearly going to be my best year yet for bookings which is great. It's kept moving forwards each year and that's all i can ask for.
The new covers album is out and being sold at shows now. And a few more copies have been run off of the 2007 self penned album Onwards to keep that available to purchase.
The new self penned album that i'm recording with musicians at the moment is coming along nicely,but is still possibly a couple of months away from being finished as we are only in the studio a couple of days a month.
I had some nice shows already this year and look forward to the spring now and some decent caravaning weather! :)

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New year to everyone. And thankyou to all the people who have supported me this year, the club organisers,the audiences,the djs etc. Hopefully see you all again next year.
